The Telecaster is a prototype of the James Burton signature telecaster. It is the “upgrade” model with flamed paint job. The guitar was given to Eric Johnson by James Burton at a guitar festival. Eric altered it by installing a vintage style bridge on the guitar. The original gold bridge is also included and is in the tweed case. It is signed by several famous musicians, some of which are difficult to decipher. Some of the signatures are starting to rub off as a result of Eric actually playing the guitar (including his own). The signatures include: Sonny Landreth, Roscoe Beck, James Burton, Eric Johnson, Jeff Cook. There appear to be fifteen signatures on the guitar. It appears Greg Koch and Jerry Donahue signed it also.
