About the Texas Classic Car Show

The Texas Classic Car Show (TCCS) is a charity event that is 100% dedicated to the The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas. The fourth annual TCCS took place Saturday, October 1, 2005.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas is a charity that grants wishes to children under 18 diagnosed with a life threatening medical condition. The wishes that are granted range from spending time with a celebrity, to receiving a computer, or a trip to Disney World. (The average cost for a wish trip is $5,000.00). The Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfills many wishes for these wonderful children. Click the logo above to go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas website.

The Texas Classic Car Show (TCCS) was held at Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q (11570 Research Blvd/183) on Saturday, October 1, 2005, from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The show was free to the public. Parking for the public was at Great Hills Baptist Church (located Jollyville Rd. & Braker Lane) and free shuttle bus service was provided to and from the show. Signs directed the public to Great Hills Baptist Church. Click HERE for map in PDF. The show was put on with the cooperation of Carrabba's Italian Grill and Outback Steakhouse.

TCCS is 100% non-profit. The chairpersons donated their time and resources and did not receive any salary for the work they performed. All monies raised were given to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas. Expenses for the event were paid for by sponsors.

TCCS 2002

The first Texas Classic Car Show (TCCS) was held Saturday, November 2, 2002. This inaugural charity event had 168 registered entrants plus additional vehicles from sponsors and vendors. The show entrants included muscle cars, classic cars, antique cars and exotic cars. The event raised $12,833.13 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas.

Texas Classic Car Show was chaired by: Bob Vehon, Alan Waters, and Van Redin. Patsy Waters chaired registration. Bob and Alan have five years experience in putting together car shows. They co-chaired Austin Corvette Day from its inception in 1995 through 2000, helping raise over $60,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®.

Entrants paid a $20.00 registration fee ($25.00 the day of the event) which entitled them to a T-Shirt, a Raffle Ticket, and the opportunity to win some great Door Prizes. Awards were given for Best of Show, Peoples Choice (3 awards), Drivers Choice (3 awards), and Club Participation ($150 gift certificate at Rudy's). All revenues (registration fees, raffle ticket sales, silent auction monies, T-Shirt sales, and donations) were dedicated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas!
